1981 Nakamichi 680ZX 3-Head Auto Azimuth Stereo Cassette Deck Newly Serviced 10-2021 Excellent #206

Here is another beauty in very nice and excellent working condition. All complete service including 10-26-2021. This is one of Nakamichi's flagship in auto azimuth recording machine. In recording process besides tape monitoring via 3 head, it is also equipped with a test tone to calibrate your machine adjusting to the type of media your using so it will give you its ultimate sound to the fullest. I have attached a small video below using a TDK D90 normal bias Type I with a simple on the fly calibration that anyone can do. Making the sound source matching the playback on tape monitor on its level and frequency. I'm only using an iphone and a small test radio. But you can actually see and hear the difference what this machine can do just on a regular type I tape. It will also perform on Chrome and Metal tapes in a much high quality and level. I really took my time in working on this deck correctly to achieve it ultimate nakamichi traditional sound. I am actually very proud and happy in the way how this machine sound. Its just phenomenal. The beauty of this deck is, if you also have another nakamichi deck even a 2 head player, you'll be in for a treat how wonderful your machine will sound with a recorded tape from a sophisticated recording deck like what the 680ZX does. Job as follows, clean all heads, transport regrease, clean rollers, all moving parts and worm screws are cleaned and lubed properly. Deoxite all pots. Change LED light bulbs, check indicator and tape speed was dialed and checked properly which is on full specs then test drive. This deck is in excellent working condition and the sound is just amazing the traditional Nakamichi optimum sound! I sold a lot of quality decks here and mostly serviced. Look at my feedback.
