Here we have a masterpiece that made a VIBRANT tribute to Stradivarius! This rare ARIA PRO 2 PE-1500 gem was made in 1976, in the Matsumoku plant.

The story of Aria Pro II really started with this Prototype. This Masterpiece was the first original ARIA PRO 2 model, at the very beginning of its production in 1976.
Produced in limited quantities, the PE-1500 strongly marked the spirits by its incredible design and quality, which made it a symbol of perfection ever since.

This one is not a Reissue but an original 1976 model, one of the very first crafted! (for example, on the Reissue models the trussrod bullet is housed in a slight cavity in the headstock, stock pickups are Protomatics (MMKs), machine heads are Grovers and inscriptions on the headstock or woods are different.)

Considered « THE guitar of guitars », it was designed by the legendary Nobuaki Hayashi (aka H. Noble) with the intention to give an official tribute to the creative genius of Stradivarius (see ads in 1978 Aria Pro 2 catalogs). Inspired in its design by Stradivarius violins, it was built with carefully selected wood species and remarkable ingenuity in the craftsmanship. Nothing was left to chance.

Entirely handmade, its soft and graceful shapes have been harmoniously carved to ensure optimal ease and playability for the guitarist.
The construction of its revolutionary heel-less neck joint, patented by Aria, ensures exceptional playing comfort and easy access to highest notes (up to the 22nd fret!). All the controls have been placed optimally for best playing ergonomics.

The Super-Matic Bridge considered by some as "THE perfect bridge" has been also carefully studied to get the maximum sustain. Personally at this level it far exceeds all the guitars I've been playing for years (Fender CS, Gibson CS, Ibanez, Musicman, Duesenberg, etc.).

100% original, it has been played and has some signs of time (please see pictures). It is in very good condition, well set up (straight neck, low action without fret buzzes, perfect intonation, etc.) and is of incredible playability. In short, a legendary beast of quality with breathtaking sustain and tone!

Very sought after guitar, especially in 100% original condition.
