Up for grabs is this beautiful and rare ESP Japanese Custom Shop M-II Deluxe in flamed purple. This axe was a studio shredder through its life, so it's in really nice shape, with some light dings around the edges, but no major scrapes or scratches - I'd call it very good to excellent condition, see photos. The neck and top are the showpieces on this guitar. The neck has one of the darkest most consistent grain rosewood fretboards I've ever seen, topped with abalone dot inlays. The neck itself is dead straight with what I'd call a shallow D profile, hand carved in the 'one off' ESP Custom Shop tradition. It reminds me of a "PRS Wide Thin" profile, which I find to be extremely comfortable and fast. The jumbo frets have next to no wear. The versatile SH pickup combination consists of a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge, and Seymour Duncan Live Wire in the neck, with coil tap available from the single volume knob, there is a tremendous amount of volume on tap with this combo. The Floyd Rose Original bridge has a stainless steel block for crisp sustain and has been perfectly setup with a nice low action in standard tuning with a new set of D'addario 10-46 strings. As you probably know, the stamped serial numbers on these things mean next to nothing as they weren't done with any discernable consistency, but the database I could find points to this being a 1995 model. The guitar ships with a new Gator hard case, trem cavity cover (not pictured), whammy bar, Floyd hex keys, case keys, and strap. Thanks for looking, let me know if you have any questions.
