Right out of the gate, one of the most convenient updates on this pedal is the space-saving top mounted input and output jacks. The top mounted jack placement conserves precious real estate on your effects board, giving you more space to load up on your favorite pedals. This stompbox has also been upgraded with a re-imagined blend-style potentiometer instead of a hard-clipping toggle switch, allowing you to blend between silicon and diode clipping for tons of gruesome distortion tones. And, with a new soft bypass switch and a fixed volume-drop off when the distortion is set to minimum, this stompbox is ready to coat your signal with ripping distortion tones straight out of the box.

This pedal can harness a surprisingly versatile array of earth-shaking distortion tones with its simple yet intuitive interface. Using the level knob is simple - turn it up, and you'll boost your volume. Dial it back, and your volume will decrease. Rolling the tone knob on and off will brighten or darken your tone respectively, and this knob reacts wonderfully with the distortion knob, giving you access to anything from fat and wooly to snarling and bright. The distortion knob is ultra-dynamic and can be used to harness a mild, sizzling distortion on the tame end, and a nightmarish horde of distorted doom when really cranked. New to this pedal, and perhaps the most impressive feature, is the Si/LED blend knob that replaced the old hard-clipping toggle switch. When this knob is set to the left, the distortion will be using silicon clipping diodes and will be highly compressed. When set to the right, the distortion will be using LED clipping with a lower amount of compression. Blend the knob between the two, and you'll unlock a wealth of awesome distortion tones.
