This is the McCurdy Mercury Distressed Cherry Sunburst Electric Guitar. 25.5" scale length. 1.73" nut width. 7 lbs 11 oz. .82"-.94" neck depth. McCurdy guitars are handcrafted using the finest materials. This beauty starts off with a flamed maple solid body. This, combined with the light weight, results excellent natural resonance with the maple enabling note great articulation. The body is finished in cherry sunburst, distressed with the crazing of a vintage instrument. Dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers grab this natural tone and add their own vibe to the mix. In the bridge you have a JB, known for its genre defying performance- high output should you want to dial up the gain, but has a sweet sassy gain when dialed back. The 59 in the neck brings the syrupy sustains, as well as warm clean comps. Pull up on the tone pot and the 59 splits for coil-tapped neck cleans. The maple set neck here has a thin Oval C feel, but enough mass for good tone transfer. The ebony fingerboard's radius starts at 7.25" for comfortable chording and ends at 10" for easy bends. The double cut design and heel-less feel allows full access to all 24 frets The look here is gorgeous- Flamed Distressed Cherry Sunburst finish, aged single ply cream binding with multi-ply purfling, Chevron inlays, Sperzel locking machines, and gold hardware. This McCurdy is in good overall condition as you can see in pics- typical marks from normal use, including a few small scratches. Nothing that affects the performance whatsoever. The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E. This McCursy includes the padded gig bag in pics.
