Alvarez Model 5001 Model Classical Guitar, handmade in
Japan, in the 70s. serial #0173, natural
finish, laminated rosewood back and sides, spruce top, mahogany neck with
rosewood fingerboard. This is an excellent beginner/intermediate classical
guitar with a a good sound. Excellent Condition.
My dad gave it to me years ago and I never really got the knack or bug to properly learn to play. Nevertheless, I'm really torn about selling this. It has a beautiful mellow sound, and is really nice looking. Take a close look at the photos. The worst thing is a blemish on the area above the sound hole. Other than that, I've taken good care of it / stored it away for most of this time. It comes with a "vintage" case which is a "git er done" case, so don't get too excited. FYI, I am not a store. I'm a private seller going through a downsizing and I don't have the room. Whoever gets this will be getting a nice vintage guitar.
The youtube link is something I randomly found when googling. Thanks to that guy, he gives a nice (and accurate sounding) demo which I think gives a good feel for the instrument. This item is sold As-Described
