1993 Fender 74 Jazz Bass Reissue Ledt Handed MIJ Candy Apple Red
This stunning and rare model is terrific not just for its looks but its playability. Neck is straight. The frets have a lot of life left in them and are super smooth with no indentations. The vintage style jazz bass pickups are very versatile, whether you’re playing fast and smooth or looking for that crunchy low end. And the aesthetics are great. I rage style pickup covers, pearloid block inlays and a great color matched headstock cap.
Cosmetically there are a couple of issues. A previous owner mis have had this bass sitting on a stand with a foam or rubber cushion on the arms. Because the nitro finish reacted with something and caused some uneven spots in the finish, and there are two matching indentation on either side of the strap button (see photos), but there’s no checking our gouging or serious scratching back there. And in the neck on the back of the 12th fret there is a spot where the finish has chipped off, creating a rough spot. I’m assuming it can easily be filled or smoothed out by someone who is competent at such things, but as I rarely dabble in the upper register I haven’t felt the need to address it. It’s stable, nothing is checking off, and there are no gouges or missing area of the neck itself
This base recently had a pro setup by Shoemaker Guitars in Burlington NC. Low action and straight neck. Everything on this is original and in great working order. This bass includes a textured wooden hard case.
Please message with any questions. Thank you and please check out my shop for some other great lefty guitars.
