Selling a Peavey Supreme 160 solid-state guitar amp head from 1994, 1995 in excellent condition. Bought 2nd hand at the very beginning of 2021. Used only in a smoke & pet free home studio, profiling and testing against other amps. Most famously used by At The Gates, on 1995's "Slaughter of the Soul" record. Great sounding LOUD 160 watt high gain amp with no issues. It's got that chunk and saturation onboard, to supply the most tight brutal metal tones. Features an active EQ. When the mid-shift is engaged, you can scoop out and raise the post-gain up, for that perfect aggressive grind sound. With the high-gain input, no pedal is needed in front, to get a ripping metal or lead tone. Great for hard rock, as used on the 1992 Loudness "Welcome To The Slaughterhouse" album. Finally, the clean channel offers up some fantastic, hefty, LOUD, crystalline tones. The high headroom of 160 watts, makes it great for clean sounds and pedal usage. All in all, fans of the James Brown-era Peavey amps will definitely enjoy the Supreme 160, and it's worth checking out! FREE SHIPPING - No footswitch - US ONLY - Thanks for looking. (Will be shipped inside a guitar amp head shipping box.) The "heaviest" amp in physical weight I've ever encountered, 60 lbs. just the head. Must be that huge heatsink and transformers!
