This is truly the flagship of the Yamaha FM Tone Generator World, and it's fully loaded. Controlled through MIDI, it is made up of 8 TF1 Tone Modules, which each are like a DX7. They have their own MIDI in, MIDI out, and audio out. They also can be assigned their own MIDI channel and hold their own set of polyphonic programs. BUT..... You can also assign either none, or all 8, or any number I between to work together from the rack's MIDI ports. The sound is beautiful, clean, and unmistakable. I'm including a photocopied manual specific to the TX816, and a software package (CD) containing thousands of additional sounds that can loaded in any of the modules. Yamaha's been a leader for decades, and this is one of the reasons why! Note=== This is a VERY HEAVY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT!!!!
Backup batteries (all 8) were checked in August, 2017 and were found to be in excellent shape by a certified technician.
