This is a V. Kohlert Sons Graslitz wood bassoon. It features the Heckel-style flat back/top/ledge on the tenor joint. The maple wood is in good condition and solid nickel keywork is all in tact. The instrument does not have a whisper key. It plays relatively well on older pads and is being sold AS IS in its current condition. We cannot make out the serial number below the bell markings. There is average wear throughout the instrument, with some scratches in the wood. The raw nickel keywork and bands are tarnished. Includes a Schreiber & Sohne Germany 1A bocal, which is does have a dent/bend in it. Includes an older hardshell case which is in decent condition for its age. Also includes hand crutch.
