This is a Custom 2008 Ibanez Team J Craft Prestige RG1550M that has been upgraded with an Ibanez RG black body loaded with premium EMG 81TWX (bridge) & 60AX (neck) active pickups. The 81TWX is one of the most expensive pickups EMG makes and actually has a 2nd single coil pickup built into it, so it's not just a coil split but an actual internal pickup change when you use the push/pull tone pot! The 60AX neck pickup packs plenty of output with a balance of thick, boosted mids, big lows and balanced highs. Featuring close aperture coils, similar to a mini-humbucker, this model produces rich harmonic overtones with plenty of sustain. The Alnico magnets tame some of the highs of the 60, while retaining a smooth treble response and plenty of output. The added X Series preamp provides even greater clarity and touch sensitivity, creating a marriage of active and passive tone and feel.
