Rare and awesome Charvel Soloist from the golden age of MIJ, this arch top is the Japanese market hard tail version of the toothpaste logo Charvel 750XL, the guitar Shawn Lane used to shred on (and shred he did, dayum). This model would be marketed as the Jackson Soloist Archtop Pro on the international market

Mahogany set neck, rosewood fretboard, reverse sharkfin inlays, mahogany body with a thick flame/quilt maple top, very discreet in trans black finish, yet glorious with the gold hardware, this is an absolute beauty. Hardware was a bit discolored as you would expect from gold hardware 32 years old. It was replaced with brand new Gotoh hardware: tuners, bridge, knobs, jack plate, strap buttons, and the guitar shines anew (the original hardware will be included).

Body is clean, polished and waxed (sorry about the dust specks), fretboard is clean and conditioned, frets are polished. No dents, dings or scratches on this baby, it looks amazing. There is a only a little paint chip on the back of the headstock tip, touched up by previous owner, it is very discreet, as per very last photo.

But the best is under the hood... Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck and Original Parallel Axis Trembucker in the bridge, both are Juarez-wound. Combined with the specs of this guitar, it is appropriate to say that this is an absolute tone monster. Like the 750XL, this guitar was known back in the day as the Les Paul killer (the LP desireable specs in superstrat format).

The guitar is strung with a fresh set of 9-42 (you might have to stretch them a bit still, once you bring them back to tension). Depending on your favorite string gauge and action height, local climate, etc, you will have to fine tune the set up to your personal taste.

Charvel branded semi hard case included.
