Rare 1953 00-21 Guitar with "Mystery Top". Although with this 00-21 it's not much of a mystery, the top is almost certainly Engelmann spruce resulting in tone and responsiveness you'd more likely expect from a 1930's 00 12 Fret. One of only 36 00-21's produced in 1953. Not all 1950's guitars are created equal and 1953 is the standout year, in my opinion. Neck reset, new saddle, new nut, fret dress and setup by the great John Arnold. John also repaired a standard "pickguard" crack as well as touched up an old repaired crack in the top in the lower bout. Original finish, bridge and bridge plate. Original saddle included. Harptone hardshell case. Guitar is also available on Noam’s Notable Instruments Gbase.
