De MKI.5 Tone Bender wordt vaak de mythische fuzz genoemd omdat er maar heel weinig originele exemplaren van bestaan. De MKI.5 Tone Bender werd geproduceerd in 1966 en was de eerste tone bender die was voorzien van de iconische Grey Hammerite Aluminium Casing. De MKI.5 had een ander circuit dan de eerdere productie MK I en bestond uit een 2x OC75 transistor circuit.  Ten tijde van de productie wist een van deze zeldzame fuzzes zijn weg te vinden naar de Abbey Road Studios en werd gefotografeerd als gebruikt door George Harrison van The Beatles.
