Ok Everyone this particular A25 is clearly different than all the others, It is clearly finished off like a old f20 was, Nicely stained hog with a Nitro Gloss Finish that actually was applied over top of the (What seems to be the real deal tortoise) Pickguard installation just like the old f20 as well, Heck she even has a Rosewood headstock overlay, with GOLD Machines and MOP Inlaid Logo (Not painted on like all the other Regular A25's), the side by side pic with my 1972 f20 tells the story, What a Sweet Pair of cool Guitars. This Particular A25 is seeming more and more, like a One off of sorts, with its Undocumented serial Number (The serial Number records for this model on Guild's own site show this Models Serial numbers starting after this Guitar was made. It is Lower than what Guild Shows as the 1st production Serial! Very Cool and unique build! So please stop asking me to sell it for the same price as those Matte finish versions, Thanks! This Rarity is done Old School Guild Style and the Price is RIGHT ON! Go price an f20 and consider this may be the only A25 that is truly its bigger Brother! Plenty of f20's going around! The Tone will Clearly be a little Different on one done like this and you guys Know this... I know you do! Not to mention way more Desirable... even more so this RARE!!!!
I guess the best way to put it is this would be the Les Paul Standard of A25's and all the other ones we are seeing with the matte finish would be the Les Paul Studio faded versions. Big difference!

PLEASE NOTE: The Last 2 pics Show my 1972 F20 for comparison only- and is not included w/Sale
After further research it seems this one just might be a little more unique with its over all Look Matching the F20 much closer than others!!  Very Nice, This particular Version Not only Has Factory Installed Deluxe  Tuners/Machines in Gold, it also has a MOP Inlaid Logo on the Headstock!!

                             1995 Guild A25 w/OHSC Made in Westerly Rhode Island-USA

Made Really Only 1yr in 1996 according to Guild's Own Records on their Website The Very 1st Time the A25 Appeared was 1996 with a Starting Serial Number of AF250292 and ending with AF250893 and in 1997 they show a starting number of AF250894 and ending with AF250896. These Serial Numbers keep track of the number of guitars being made by the last 4 Digits being their Production Numbers! If you notice in 1996 Guild only Made 601 Total Units and in 1997 only 3 Guitars were made!!! Incredible and quite Rare!!
But Somehow this Guitar I have here has a Serial that Pre-Dates (Lower Production Number than what Guilds OWN RECORDS SHOW! Some say the 1st approx. 291 Guitars (if made from Production Numbers starting at 0000 ) Where Possibly Given to Artists and Guild Dealers and reps to promote. Because hey look Here is a Guitar that Guild Clearly didn't add to their Recorded Historic Serial Number list!! And She is a Beauty!! Even if they did make all the Guitars Starting with Prod. # 0000 you would still have less than 900 GUITARS MADE WORLD WIDE!!!! I AM GUESSING YOU WILL BE THE ONLY ONE ON THE PORCH WITH ONE OF THESE KILLER LITTLE AUDITORIUM GUITAR!
btw- I say Misunderstood because a lot of people see the number 25 used for this model as direct comparison to Guilds D25 with its Laminated arched Back and Different Style Build. This Guitar Couldn't be more further away from being like the D25 than any!! It's Straight up the F20's  older Teenage Brother!!

OK OK NOW WHAT MAKES THIS The Guild F20's Bigger Brother!!
If you notice the serial numbers during this also straight had the model designation right in it as well, ok almost, This one the A25 and the F20 at this time both have Serials that start with the Designation AF which is simply Guild's Auditorium and Folk Line of Acoustic Guitars. Meaning both Guitars are built with the EXACT SAME SPEC's Except for Body Dimension!! I have my own F20 to Verify as well and they are Exact! Both Guitar are All solid Woods Guitars with Solid Spruce Top and Solid Western Mahogany Back and Sides all Book Matched!! Both Guitars also have what Guild Calls Standard Bracing(Unsacalloped). Which MAkes these Flat Tops Solid GReat Sounding and Built to Last the test of time!  Both Models also Have a Tortoise Pick Guard UNDER the Thin Nitro Finish!! Not to Mention The Gorgeous 1pc Hog Neck and Some Sweet Looking Grain on what looks Brazilianesque to me Rosewood FretBoard!! (My 72 F20 Has Both Brazilian Board & Bridge BTW-Nice!). Original Bone Nut and Saddle too. This is an ALL Original Guitar!
I have this Vintage Guild listed in Excellent Condition for being 27 yrs old and being this NIce! THe Top and sides are all But Flawless! Maybe some of those Super fine finish scratches from normal playing. The Back has about a Handful or so of very small dings with some scratches. The Headstock show the its Biggest hit by far which is not much at all for such a Rare Piece, a Chipped Lower Corner on the Treble side.
This Guitar had almost Zero Playwear and has had a Player restore from Tim's that Makes the Frets LIKE NEW AGAIN!!! with over 90% life its like playing a BrandNew Guitar Set up On stage by a Technician that set her up for A ROCKSTAR!!!!! This Guitar Plays and Sounds Absolutely Sublime, What a USA ALL solid Guitar was made to do, with a perfect mixture of lows, mids and highs that mesh Perfectly with all the Punch and Clarity only a Vintage Westerly USA Guild this RARE can Make. This one will NOT Disappoint!

btw The Headstock Logo is inlaid MOP (Others versions I see are Decals for logos!!) and the Original Machines are Gold w/MOP Buttons!! Nice!
