Now Offering my last spiffy 1996 Taylor 514c (no factory electronics) w/OHSC

I have had FIVE of these over the years and this is the best sounding,
best setup, and the last to go.

May be the Lightest Weight Taylor I have ever held!

1.75" Nut. 2 3/16" Saddle spacing. 25.6" scale.

Beautiful Cedar top and Mahogany body give this guitar a Fat, Warm mid range, and a Deep, FULL tone for sure! Nice sparkly trebles are perfectly balanced and fat, too.

Sounds Fantastic in standard tuning, and down to D, open D, and even drop C.

This received a complete overhaul from Taylor Senior Repair Tech, Pat Quinn, September 2020. Then back in it's sweet OHSC with Humidity packs, except for occasional check up and a bit of picking.

Except for the SERIOUSLY WORN frets, a bit of bridge lift,
minor play wear around the sound hole, and some finish lift on the fretboard binding that cannot be felt, this was very near MINT when I got it.
Someone played the heck out of it without picks, belt, buttons, or apparently taking it out of the house. It sounds Fantastic, and looks close to New.  Especially for a 26 year old guitar!

Absolutely no structural issues at all. Ready to ROCK

I had Pat set the neck and completely refret with Jescar Hard Gold color wire. While he had the old frets out he had the Fretboard Pleked. Set up and playability are outstanding!!!
Also swapped in new Gotoh 510 tuners in black chrome. SMOOTH and swanky, too.
New Taylor BONE Nut and Saddle
Bridge remove clean and reglue.
And added a K&K pure mini pup. Mounts under bridge plate. Weighs next to nothing and sounds GREAT. Passive, so no battery or controls in guitar.

It is now set up even better than new, with LOW action for fingerstyle and very little neck relief. Plays VERY easily. And SOUNDS WONDERFUL !!!

I have restrung, inspected and cleaned this repeatedly with my inspection glasses on.
Not my "Beer Goggles". 😃

The many photos try to show all the dings or issues I could find in the worst possible light

Absolutely gig ready right out of the case.

Currently strung with Elixir Phosphor Bronze HD Lights. My fave

Original Taylor "Pink Poodle" case made in El Cajon, Ca. in very nice condition. No funky smells and everything works as it should.

This is much lighter in weight than the newer ones, or even the newest Andy Powers designed models.

Thinner old "electric neck", that made Taylor famous, too.

I LOVE this axe, but I can not keep them all.... and this deserves to be played regularly!

As always it will be swaddled like fine china and OCD packed for interstellar travel.

Will ship insured on my Heritage account. Signature required, of course.

Happy to answer any questions or just talk guitars!

Someone will be stoked. I have sold more than a few of these 90s Taylors! Always after having them dialed to perfect playability by Tim Luranc, or Pat Quinn

Every new owner has been very pleased, which makes me happy!

If you have not experienced one of the mid 90s Taylors, it is difficult to realize the extent of the differences between the newer models.

These are quite favorably comparable to Bourgeois, Collings, Santa Cruz, and other small shop builders of the same era. In fact they were all inspirational and helpful with and for each other.

Any questions just ask! Thanks for checking this sweetheart out.
