One look at this guitar and your mind conjures up surf tones of the sixties, but this Mosrite 1966 Reissue is so much more than just a surfer's guitar...

The fire bright, Ferrari Red finish is both eye-catching and vibrant and no matter what genre of music you love to play, the sound is fantastic. The slim neck and small frets make this guitar a comfortable player. It has a 24 1/2 inch scale length and a 1 5/8 inch nut width. There are two proprietary high-gain pickups, a master volume and tone control knob, a three way pickup selector switch and a Moseley tremolo system. The Tremelo was sent to Bob at Hallmark Guitars to be upgraded, calibrated, and fixed to solve the tuning stabilization that is usually not great with these units. It is perfect now and stage or studio worthy. This ultra rare collectors release reissue captures all the magic and features of early Ventures Model instruments, with smooth knobs and pickup covers, a sandcast Moseley tailpiece, and highly visible first generation German Carve on the top of the lightweight basswood body. The dual, slighty hot single coil pickups have enough power and midrange sparkle to please even the most discerning enthusiasts, they are wound properly to vintage-spec and reading around 11.8 ohms, providing an strong and classic sound that's classic and unmistakable to Mosrite. Weighing 8lbs 7oz’s, this Mosrite is a blast to play and hard to put down. Don’t miss your chance to get this unique and near pristine example of top notch Japanese craftsmanship and American ingenuity.

This guitar is in excellent colector condition with no signs of playwear. The fretboard is a nice, dark chocolate brown and the frets have all of life left in them to rock!

This guitar is a total tone monster and plays just as sweet as she looks!

About Mosrite:

Mosrite is an American guitar manufacturing company, based in Bakersfield California, from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Founded by Semie Moseley Mosrite guitars were played by many rock and roll and country artists.
Mosrite guitars were known for innovative design, high-quality engineering, very thin, low-fretted and narrow necks, and extremely hot (high output) pickups. Moseley's design for The Ventures, known as the "Ventures Model" (later known as the "Mark I") was generally considered to be the flagship of the line.

It has just been professionally set up deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been dressed/polished and the fingerboard was cleaned.
