RainSong A-WS-1000 Red

Lovely red carbon/graphite guitar. Beautiful acoustic sound, plays great plugged in too! I've been using it as a songwriting guitar. I can play it for hours without tiring, and writing lyrics with it on my lap doesn't put my arm to sleep the way a dreadnought does.

It basically drips red. The truss rod is responsive, but unnecessary as the carbon neck doesn't migrate with the changing seasons or weather. It's there to change the neck to your relief preference. Not every carbon guitar has this option. I'm a big fan of being able to adjust the truss-rod to varying string gauges. There is no buzzing anywhere, even on bends. It's a fast neck profile, reminds me of an electric neck. The guitar is so shiny that it's very hard to photograph- it's beautiful, but there are signs of play. Nothing that really shows up unless it's directly reflected into a light- look to the last two pics to see, it's almost impossible to photograph. The model number & serial is also impossible to photograph, but they pop and are super clear in the right light!

Great acoustic player, and the cut-away naturally accommodates the upper fret register usually only the domain of electric guitars. Very comfortable and balanced both sitting and standing. The Fishman Prefix Plus-T electronics sound great and has a really handy built-in tuner. Just a beautiful, super versatile guitar!

From the manufacturer:

The A-WS is the flagship model of the Advanced Series and features innovations such as a fully-adjustable graphite necks, rich soundboard colors, super-fast necks and precision CNC-machined fingerboards.

The A-WS body mimics the body shape of the wonderfully versatile WS guitar of the Classic Series. Combining the best qualities of large and small bodied guitars, this body shape is ideally suited for a variety of musical situations. A large, deep chamber gives the A-WS strong projection and rich bass. The narrow waist and tight upper bout allow for a ringing treble, good balance and clear definition of individual notes. Overall, the A-WS is impeccably balanced. The shapely curves and light weight make the A-WS a comfortable guitar to cradle or stand with. The extra deep cutaway encourages playing up the fretboard.
