Hamer USA Studio, 1996, Rare Tobacco Burst, Gold Hardware, w/OHSC

The luthiers at Hamer's Arlington Heights shop pulled out all the stops on this one. This is a 1996 Hamer USA Studio in rare tobacco burst finish with gold hardware. It's quite possible this was a custom order as tobacco burst's weren't all that common in these models.

Features include gold hardware, intonatable wraparound bridge, highly figured flame maple cap, mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany set neck, 3-way pickup selector switch, and dual Duncan '59 humbuckers. 

The gold hardware is in amazing condition with only very faint wear as seen on the bridge. I've tried to photograph it as best I can and even under good light, the hardware still looks amazing. Pretty incredible for a 25 year-old guitar.

I'd say, the tone is a bit warmer sounding than most Hamer Studio's I've played likely due to the pickups giving it that sweet PAF tone. It's nicely balanced and lighter than all of my other Hamer Studio guitars. Resonates incredibly well with long sustain and beautifully controlled feedback.
