1984 Moonstone Prototype Electric Guitar made by Moonstone Owner/Luthier Steve Helgeson. Moonstone was founded by Steve Helgeson, in Arcata, upper Northern California. It still has the cool Hippie Vibe and is a very chill area.
Steve focused on making the finest handcrafted instruments from top quality materials.
In my pictures below, you'll see under the pickup, the Moonstone name, address, 1984 and Joe Trecca. Joe Trecca was an employee of Moonstone. This Prototype Moonstone guitar is a rare guitar. It’s wonderful to play and sounds fabulous too! The Arcata shop
burned due to arson in the late 1980’s. Steve moved the shop to Eureka after the fire. This guitar I’m offering was made in the Arcata Shop, where all the best, early innovation came from. A few extra screw holes all made by Helgeson.
