Gibson produced the Bass IV between 1987 and 1989. It has a mahogany body and neck with an ebony fingerboard. The pickups were two Thunderbird units. The Gibson IV is a forgotten gem often overlooked in discussions about Gibson basses.

It's essentially a late 80s Thunderbird that is shaped like a Precision, with two extra frets. The neck dimensions are closer to a Precision than a Thunderbird's, add in Cold War vintage Shaller M4 tuners and a Schaller 3D bridge, and you have one truly nice guitar.

This one has some wear and tear with some scratches (probably from a previous players belt buckle) and nicks around the body. Plays and sounds great.
