Basically this amp is a Hiwatt DR201 clone with modern features.  The description below is taken directly from the builders website:

200 watts and designed to roar with either guitar or bass. The Mother is a KT88 powered single channel amp that features two distinct “Normal” and “Overdrive” inputs, and a flexible control panel that can afford any high-powered tone in the book.

For bass guitar, the Normal input provides rich and thunderous bass tones as well as a great driven growl when cranked up. Plugging into the Overdrive input engages the additional “Drive” knob and will take your bass from snarling overdrive to sustaining fuzz with any varying degree.

Equally engineered with guitar in mind, both inputs yield a huge tonal spectrum. The Normal input excels at loud and clean tones, and can be coaxed into a vintage bark for those who like it loud. This input is exceptional with pedals due to its huge clean headroom. Plugging your guitar into the Overdrive input employs the Drive control, and used in tandem with the Normal channel's Gain knob, the Mother goes from warm vintage crunch to high gain shred.

The Mother features an effective Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence EQ. In addition, the 6-position rotary “Depth” knob allows control of the overall bass extension and voice of the amplifier. This control helps tune the overall tone for your particular bass/guitar/speaker setup before fine tuning with the EQ. Finally, the front panel's Loudness control varies the overall volume of the amp and drive to the power section.

On the back panel you'll find more useful features including a Slave/Line Out with dedicated Level control to drive an additional amplifier or power amp and speaker cabinet for even more volume!

For extra protection, the back panel features two additional fuses for the output tubes with failure indicator lights. Not only do these add extra protection for your amplifier (besides the typical fuses), but allow you to run on half power in case of a tube failure.

The Mother features an external bias test point and adjustment for each individual output tube to allow user bias monitoring, adjustment, and replacement of a single output tube if necessary. All that's required is a digital multimeter, and there's no need to remove the amp from its cabinet.
