Marshall JCM 25/50 Silver Jubilee 2550 1989 Black & Gold

Rare and amazing amp. Non-reissue! The 2550 is the 50 watt little brother to the infamous 2555 in the 25 anniversary JCM 25/50 series. This amplifier was the last of the originals. After 1987-1988, silver tolex was changed to black having passed the anniversary year, before being discontinued in 1989/90. 

What makes this particularly rare: Black tolex 25/50s were a 1-2 year item. There have been a number of 2555 reissues, starting with a black tolex Slash reissue in 1996 and recently the silver tolex 2555X reissue, but the 50W 2550 has never to my knowledge been reissued. Thus, the 50W Jubilees are far rarer than their 100W brothers, which have multiple reissues, and finding a black 2550 is perhaps the hardest find of all. It's also nice you don't have to run out to find a siver cab or live with the mismatch.

This amp is recapped and re-tubed. (I may have the original caps around here as well). Footswitch included.
