Here's a sweet little Altec loudspeaker that I was lucky enough to get my hands on in this condition....
I'll tell ya' guys, there's something 'magical' about an AlNiCo magnet and a BRASS sleeve magnetic assembly.......
I removed this one, and 7 others from some old University/Altec Lansing auxiliary/portable PA/MI self contained amp/speaker set ups from the old Congress, Ohio Jr. High School, which was torn down back in '85......
Some numbers are:
Depth-3.75
Diameter - 6 1/8" short sides/ 6 3/4" diagonal
Weight- 2 pounds 1 ounce
Plate thickness- .,250"!
Impedance- 8 ohms
Power- 10 watts continuous/15 watts MAX
Response- 95Hz- 8KHz

This one sound GREAT!!! I was surprised to get such a fat, large tonality out of a 6" speaker. they usually sound like a midrange speaker, or that they were made out of a shoe box sheet, but this one actually has some tonality and some nice low end, so E-string response will actually be heard with this one...
GREAT fender Champ upgrade, yet still have a vintage appearance, increased tonality, and have an AlNiCo magnet/BRASS SLEEVE design!
Fully tested and operating without any rubbing, buzzing, holes, rips, tears, rot, or adhesive failures.She works just peachy!!!
She's all original, and provides a great old 40's/50's/60's tonality...... GREAT for mic.'ing/ recording, replacements and upgrades.....
