An early example (#10) of Nick Sorensen's great work!
...and yes, it has a hole in it! (my genius, not Nick's!)*
I also had to replace the lower Tone pot and the pot I had had a larger post than stock so I had to drill out the plastic knob (see pic above)
*In a moment of Tom Morello-wannabeness, I put a momentary/slap kill switch where the hole now is; realized my mistake a few months later, removed the switch and painted in the hole...early days!
This guitar is a player!, but it's in good shape (all relic-ing except the hole is original factory Rocketfire) with lots of great life left in it!
This guitar features the famous Rocketfire Total 60's Strat pickup set ($300 new) which is awesome! and one of Nick's amazing Secret Recipe necks** (in this case a medium-ish "C")
**a big part of Rocketfire's "secret recipe" and the one process that Nick would never tell me a about!
Rocketfire specializes in pickups these days and no longer makes guitars so these are getting really scarce and hard to find.
...and, because this one has a hole in it, I have priced it accordingly.
I now have an antique white Mojotone pick guard that, according to Nick Sorenson of Rocketfire, will be a drop-in replacement for the current pick guard (if you want to cover the hole!). This brand new Mojotone pick guard will be included with this guitar (I have not tested the fit and I do not guarantee that it will actually fit...although it looks like it will, as Nick Sorenson says, drop right in).
This guitar will ship in it's original Rocketfire gig bag.
The guitar weighs 7lbs 2oz on my small shipping scale
