Acoustic Image Clarus 1R Series I 2000s Black

The Acoustic Image Clarus is well-known to jazz guitarists and bassists alike as one of the most dependable, classic, and beautiful sounding amps out there. Acoustic Image is known for its stellar construction and design, as well as phenomenal customer service. 

The Clarus 1R is sought after particularly by jazz guitarists for its unbelievable clarity; I've never heard an amp that allows the character of the instrument itself to shine like a Clarus does. The tone is precise and beautiful, but not dictated by the amp itself. Rather, the player and the instrument are free to express their sound unimpeded by a more opinionated amp.

The Clarus 1R features 2 1/4" inputs (one low gain, one high gain), an XLR direct out, effects loop, and built-in reverb/delay unit. Standard tone controls are bolstered by a Brite knob, which allows a player to achieve a round tone appropriate for jazz or folk music while retaining the sparkly clarity of the higher frequencies. Includes 1 Speakon cable and Acoustic Image carrying case. This amp is extremely light and portable, and can easily be carried with the case's over-the-shoulder strap. Although it's small, it still packs a punch and can certainly be used for gigs that require higher volumes.
