Very early " Eagle" bass before they were called Eagles. The first was for Olivia Newton Johns bassist Bill Bodine so at the time these were called Bodines.
762xx serial #, Honduran Mahogany body with a transparent cherryburst finish.
Bass is all original with the exception of 1 red tipped switch which is a correct replacement.
Fully functional with original bread board style circuit. Very rare Bartolini Hi-A pickups that sound blissful. Early style inlays, Badass bridge, original unmarked Schaller tuners, I believe the fretboard is some form of ebony (it's dark and 1976 literature stated them as ebony)
I am the second owner, original owner bought it new and was with a few national touring acts in the early 80's. Bass has a wonderful used but not abused patina, chips and nicks, scuffs and scratches, never any breaks or repairs. Bass has low action and plays like butter. Original blue velvet lined case in fantastic condition considering it's 45 years young. You don't see many of these and likely won't see one again for awhile. Many pre 1977 BCR's went straight to Japan when new, the US market was very small before Joe Perry's Mockingbird hit the scene
