It took over 80 prototypes in the development process before Eddie approved these humbucking pickups for the EVH Wolfgang guitar but as a replacement pickup, they rule because they sound great in all woods, from mahogany and alder to basswood and beyond!They are balanced and able to deliver balls-out overdrive and sustain without sacrificing the ability to clean up magnificently and articulate the cleanest passages when the volume is rolled down.
