About This Listing

2018 Kronbauer SBX
Mint As New Condition—No dings, dents, cracks, finish issues, no play wear
Englemann Spruce over Quilted Birds Eye Maple
Koa Binding
Deluxe Hard Shell Case

Trevor Kronbauer’s mission has been to create one of a kind, heirloom quality, handmade acoustic guitars.
This guitar is exceptionally beautiful in every way, clarity of tone, extremely comfortable to play, with exquisite aesthetics.  As you can tell I’m a big fan.  No finish issues, no cracks, no dents, no dings.
His guitars have a balanced tonality—sparkling trebles, present midrange and ample bass.  I would describe it as more akin to the modern European, more balanced across the register rather than emphasizing trebles or bass.   This guitar—which is similar in size to an OM— is warm and articulate.  Not tinny or thin.  I’ve included a sound clip of Trevor’s larger TDK—a mid jumbo 2007 build, using these same woods.  Don’t underestimate his SBX model which you see here.  There is plenty of volume as well as being articulate and a bit more punchy.  This guitar is not muted in the least.
It’s a lightweight build and incredibly resonant.  You will feel the music you are playing.
This guitar will accommodate various playing styles and is a fingerstyle dream. It shows no play wear—I am a bit fanatical about keeping guitars as received.  It’s been kept in its case when not played and in a temperature/humidity environment.
The clear pick guard supplied by Trevor is included.
Moderately low set up but there is plenty of room on nut and saddle to go lower.
If you’re wondering why I am regretfully selling it, it is simple mathematics amid retirement.  I can only play so much and this very special guitar deserves to be played.
To commission this build today would be close to $7000 dollars.  This guitar was originally posted at $4349.99.  Cold weather is coming and I would like to ship while temperature is moderate. It is stored within its case at 72 degrees. 45-48% humidity.
Shipping is to lower 48 US Thanks for your kind interest.
