Here we have a very nice Alvarez Yairi classical guitar. It plays and sounds very good and has maintained it's integrity for being almost 30 years old. The fine woods have all mellowed giving it a very rich tone with nice projection and brightness at the same time.
Overall a very clean instrument except in the playing areas. You can see the wear to the wood on the top by the sound hole kind of giving it that 'Willie' look and there is some light wear in the fretboard in the first 2-3 positions but like I said the wear is very light. The frets show no wear. The rest of the wear is just light nicking and a few light scratches with most of the finish being very clean as you can see in the pictures. Our guitar tech just put on a fresh set of Laballa tie on classical strings after seasoning the fretboard.
Note: The guitar is electric. I assume the pickup is under the saddle. It works fine and is quiet. Serves the purpose but I have heard better.
The guitar has a perfect playing action and some gorgeous woods.
