Collings 002HA Slothead, Adirondack, 12-Fret, Rosewood

(USED, MINT) Here is another beautiful and sophisticated Collings 002H. The classic 12-fret 00 ornamented by herringbone purfling and topped by the Holy Grail of tonewoods, Ye Olde Adirondack spruce. Looking like something from a previous century, the guitar features the "olde" standard 1 and 13/16" nut width, 2 and 5/16" saddle spacing, pyramid bridge, slotted headstock, and open back Waverly tuners. This guitar was a special order with tortoise binding, where ivoroid would be standard. The tortoise gives a certain understated and "clean" look to an otherwise elegant guitar. The grain (and tone) of the Adirondack top, again, are just superb. Collings!
