Gibson Custom Shop released the Axcess in 2008 so this is first year production run model. Guitar includes original Gibson Custom hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, Floyd Rose Tremolo Bar,  Truss Rod Tool, Case Keys, Duncan Strap Locks (Installed), Original strap buttons included.  Guitar has had a recent setup just as a matter of course and currently has .10 thru .46 strings on it.

Overall the guitar is in very good condition. In the interest of full disclosure there is some very light/barely discernable playwear and only noticeable when held to the light at certain angles. There are a couple of superficial micro surface marks about a millimeter or two in size (about the size of a pinhead), but no noteworthy, describable, or noticeable marks of any kind such as dents, dings scratches or gouges. The overall luster and transparency of the finish looks really crisp throughout on this guitar and the flamed maple top is absolutely stunning.  Absolutely nothing that affects playability in the least.  As for the rest of the guitar-the front, sides, neck, headstock I do not see any type of dents or dings-very clean. As far as playability issues, there are none. Guitar looks, plays and sounds absolutely incredible. For an 18 year old guitar the condition is very good 8.5/10. Guitar has never been abused but owned and played lovingly and maintained properly with periodic setups to keep it in good shape. **PLEASE NOTE: So if your're someone with unrealistic expectations and are looking for a museum showpiece-10/10-brand new/mint out of the box guitar I suggest you look elsewhere.**

Floyd Rose with R4 Locking Nut
On first glance, the most striking thing about the Les Paul Axcess Standard is the inclusion of a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo system. The Floyd Rose has always provided players with a unique set of tremelo options from subtle tremors to full-force dive-bombs. What's great about the Les Paul Axcess Standard is that the Floyd Rose is installed by the Gibson Custom Shop during the guitar's construction. Avoiding the risky venture of installing a Floyd Rose after the fact, the Les Paul Axcess Standard is built with a Floyd Rose as part of its design making for extremely sturdy installation and lasting stability. Combine that with the R4 locking nut, and you have a reliable shredding machine with super stable tuning.

Humbuckers with Coil-tapping The Les Paul Axcess Standard comes with a 498T and 496R pickup set. These humbuckers provide the sizzling tone needed to keep up with the Floyd Rose and shredable neck design. To use the coil split on your 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Axcess, pull up on the bridge tone knob.  This splits the humbuckers into single coils for brighter, chimey, and more bell-like tones. The coil-tapping option makes it easy to switch between the traditional broad body of a humbucker and a tighter high-end squeal of a single-coil pickup. The result is a generous utility belt of explosive sonic flavors. On the 2008 Axcess models Gibson designed the bridge tone pot to act as a master control instead of having separate switches for each pickup.

Comfortable Body and Expanded Cutaway Access If the versatile electronics and included Floyd Rose weren't enough to make this a stand-out Les Paul, Gibson has also built the Axcess Standard with extremely comfortable contours and a unique cutaway design. The mahogany body has been weight-relieved with a "belly scarf" counter along the back that comfortably rests on the body of the player. Overall, the sleeker build enhances the playability while reducing the guitar's overall weight. Where the single-piece mahogany neck is joined, a countered "heel-cut" cutaway has been carved to give an unprecedented range of extension along the fingerboard. With so many details specifically crafted for the utmost in smooth playability, the Les Paul Axcess Standard is as good as it gets for gigging rock musicians.
