Solid State Logic SSL 9000J 48 Channel Console w/ Atomic Power Supply + Cable Package & Many Spares

This is a beautifully maintained 48 channel SSL 9000J console with excellent pedigree. I am the 3rd owner, it was originally purchased by the legendary Quad Studios in NYC as an 80 channel desk. This comes with a very rare 80 point patch bay, shown in the photos. I believe there were only 4 of these made by SSL.

I shipped it out to LA from NYC where it was painstakingly restored and cut down to a 48 channel desk by Bruce the Desk Doctor. He has been looking after our console since we bought it and had it commissioned in 2017.

This desk is used everyday. It has been used on projects for artists such as Dominic Fike, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and more. We were using 16 channels to track our synths and the other 32 as a mix/summing print rig. This is not a desk that's been sitting in storage for years or served as an ash tray and laptop stand; we've proudly used it on every recording we've worked on in the last 4 years. All of the channels and faders are in great working condition. 

A brief history of service, upgrades and improvements:

-Upon commissioning, the console's trim was redone completely with new leather by a local shop in LA
-From the 80 channels of faders and channel strips, we selected the best and kept the others as spares
-Brand new Atomic Power Supply was purchased in late 2020; this brought down the floor noise to -100 dB. This desk is insanely quiet and uses way less energy and requires way less cooling than the original SSL PSU. Also, requires just 6U of rack space. This was a 10k upgrade and made a world of difference. 
-GPU computer card was replaced with a NOS card
-Brand new monitor stands were built by the Desk Doctor
-Installed a VESA suction cup monitor arm that is shown in the photos
-Desk Doctor made us a custom panel with a small hole to allow the clean seamless wiring of USB/HDMI cables 
-Replaced old CRT monitor with new Dell LCD screen for SSL Computer

 -10 SL978 Spare Faders + Spare fader parts: These are all functional faders and can be swapped out plus a box of fader parts and bits
-1 SSL 911 Channel Strip: Fully functional channel strip, used as our spare
-VESA Monitor Stand & Bridge Speaker Stands: included, as seen in the photos
-Various SSL Cards: Spare Fader pan bus card, spare IFCE card, spare serial I/O CPU card. I stocked up on hard to find cards as SSL doesn't supply them anymore. 
-Fader covers: made plexiglass fader covers and mouse and keyboard stand, so the faders can be calibrated to true zero and left at unity. 
-Spare Bitpad: the touch pad used to operate the SSL computer. These are notoriously finicky and wear down. This is a brand new NOS SSL bit pad

This is the most cohesive plug and play package I've seen be listed for an SSL console. None of the headache of buying a console involved, I have done it for you! Between the spare parts and the Atomic Power Supply, this desk will run forever.
