Born on August 18, 1988 (larrivee actually kept detailed records of serial numbers), this Purple RB-2 is a great quality, neck-through bass with active EMG pickups. Ebony fingerboard, Schaller tuners and bridge. A couple of screws have gone missing here and there, and the 9V battery terminal was replaced (original included) but other than that it’s all original and Un-modified. The neck is straight and the action is low. Larrivee is a high quality Canadian maker and this was a rare period in which they delved into electrics/basses. It has that very-defined and articulate sound that active Pickups are known for. Two volumes and one tone control. This is a fantastic bass. It is a one-owner bass that was gigged in the 80s and early 90s, but has been in its case ever since. There are obviously a handful of chips and some play wear on the top. The neck is in fantastic condition with minor fretwear, primarily in the first few frets. Comes with original case...which shows its age, but is holding up well and all latches still function.
