Similar design to the better known Kremona Zornitsa also advertised but smaller, nearer to a typical parlor size.
I have no idea what timbers were used and I was told it was from the 1970s, another from Bulgaria during the Soviet era. It measures 35cm across the lower bout and has a 44mm nut. I currently have it strung with bronze 80/20 strings and tuned to open D for some bluesy fingerpicking.
The tuners, tailpiece and floating bridge are believed to be original and the frets while part worn are polished to give an easy action. It has a couple of minor scratches to the finish but looks pretty good for its age.
The pickup is probably a Bulgarian made soundhole type with no volume or tone control on board but I changed the odd Soviet style two plug outlet for a standard ¼” jack plug. It has a great snarly tone for some Lightnin’ Hopkins style blues and could easily break up your average small tube amp for some nice distortion.
For the fingerpicker, folkie or bluesman who wants something different.
I can arrange a Covid safe pickup here at Shellharbour which is about an hour and a half south of Sydney, or I can send it by courier; most east coast cities would cost about $65 including insurance (less for Sydney Metro) but contact me with your town and postcode info for an exact quote. Reverb asks for a shipping cost so I have put $100 to be sure it covers further flung destinations, but I will refund any difference. Payment by Paypal required.
I have been selling for years on ebay as martinomusic2014 if you want to check my references but I have now switched exclusively to Reverb.
