Just a beautiful Pan SG from the Matsumoku factory in Japan.
These Pan SG’s are rather desirable because of the Univox hi-flier tremolo- where most Japanese bolt on SG’s come with a generic Teisco unit.
Speaking of which, check out the heel on this bad boy. Some of these Pan’s also have this faux heel above the neckplate to give that set neck vibe. Again a feature you see on few MIJ SG’s.
A real stunner with generous horn carve and a wicked looking pickguard. But judge the pictures as they are part of the add.
Condition wise, again stunning, but there is a pretty noticeable ding on the front, and there are what appear to be two fine fine cracks in the finish to the left and right of the neck plate, but the wood has zero movement when flexing it. And for some reason the bridge pickup is not making sound, but I am all about that neck pickup myself, and have not looked into the bridge pickup situation. However things look brand new under that pickguard. And it is easy to find a matching pickup affordably if you wind up needing one. I don’t think this guitar was messed with under the hood, or really, played much at all based on condition.
Oh and I upgraded to a gotoh bridge!
