Update: Thanks to Wes from Guitar Gear here on Reverb he found the guitar in an old dealer catalog. Looks like these were offered with or without the ZZ Top logo .We assume they quit adding the ZZ logo due to possible law suit issues. Some specs on the guitar are in the catalog photo added appears to be made in Taiwan.
ZZ Top Concert Series Electric Guitar quite a rare piece I cannot find any info on it I've posted it to several guitar sites and nobody has seen it before or knows anything about it. The general consensus is it is either an Ibanez or based on the Ibanez Jem series with that cut out in the side of the body.
I've had this for 10 years and only ever seen one other one in a white color but identical otherwise. The person who owned the white one had no clue other than he bought it at a pawn store.
The guitar is a nice player has a great tone and is quite versatile as to types of music rock ,blues or metal. it just came back from the local guitar shop with a complete setup with new strings action set low . It has 22 frets lots of life in them eagle beak headstock with original tuners ,humbucker in the bridge position and single coil in the neck, locking nut,3 way selector switch (missing the plastic tip) and volume and tone knobs. No case but packed with xtra care.
The lower bout has 2 separate areas where there are paint chips no body damage just paint chipped off really can't notice from the front until you flip it over (see last 2 pics) . Back of the headstock by the high e tuner is a hairline it's been there since I bought it hasn't got worse or moved any. I had the luthier check it when I got the setup done and he said it was still solid see the pic. It's quite a cool guitar I've had lots of compliments on it see all the pics and decide for yourself ,thanks.
