About This Listing

This Fat Lady 1 Series guitar, from Cole Clark featuring a Bunya top and Queensland maple back and sides, is the foundation piece to obtaining the "Classic" Cole Clark sound. The patented Cole Clark 3-Way Pickup System is fully integrated into this grand auditorium size guitar, highlighting the instrument's unique construction techniques like Plek, a Spanish Heel neck joint, and internally-carved top and back timbers.

Cole Clark 3-Way Pick Up System
The Cole Clark 3-Way pickup features three pickup elements, all working together to deliver the most versitile and natural sounding pickup system. Combining 6 piezos under the saddle, a face (vibration) sensor built into the lower bout, and an omni-directional condensor microphone, the Cole Clark patented system allows players total control over their tone, even before engaging the 3-band EQ controls.

100% Sustainably-Sourced
All Solid Australian Timbers Cole Clark guitars have used sustainably-sourced timbers (woods) as a cornerstone of their business since day one. Like many boutique acoustic guitar builders, Cole Clark looks to their 'backyard' for the sourcing of timbers. Cole Clark brings to the U.S.A. a fine selection of exotic Australian timbers that, while lesser-known than their U.S. counterparts, provide a greater degree of tonal and aesthetic beauty with the all-solid construction, all while being 100% sustainably-sourced.

Unique Construction
When you look inside a Cole Clark guitar you will see that this is a guitar that has been specifically designed for an intended purpose: to deliver a guitar that is voiced and optimized for the modern player and modern playing environments. Considering equally the live/plugged-in and unplugged/acoustic guitar tones, Cole Clark has delivered a guitar that is incredibly strong, lightweight, and built using proven old-world methods executed with modern techniques. A Spanish heel intergrated with internally carved top and back timbers, featuring channeled A V X bracing, and a fully-integrated pickup system combine to give you complete control, either at home or in any live environment.
