DWG Custom Competition Jaguar-Style Guitar - Ocean Turquoise Metallic + Fender HSC

You are looking at a fantastic, custom Jaguar built by Dan Wolf Guitars. It never seemed fair to me that Mustangs and Jazzmasters were the only models offered with the competition stripe. And Jaguars with vintage specs and rosewood fretboard are super hard to come by in Ocean Turquoise Metallic (OTM), much less with a matching headstock.  Please note that the listing now includes a mint Fender Hard Shell Case!  

I had seen some of Dan's guitars on-line and was immediately impressed with the quality of his builds (materials and workmanship) and his focus on playability. While many of his guitars are tastefully relic'd, I wanted a more "closet classic" finish that would relic/age naturally.  I also wanted the guitar to have a more stripped-down, DIY, hotrod aesthetic, and Dan was already incorporating some of these features into his builds. Details like rhythm circuit delete with dummy plate, simple 3-way toggle for pup selection, polished stainless plates (versus chrome), custom oversized tremolo plate, and aged nitro finishes.

Styling aside, Dan builds each guitar by hand, starting with a block of alder for the body and custom neck blanks of his own design. The end result is a guitar that plays like a dream and resonates unlike any Jaguar I have ever played. His hand wound pickups also SCREAM compared to Bare Knuckle pups I have in another Jaguar.

Case

As hoped, the nitro finish on the guitar has begun to age naturally, and definitely adds to the vibe. There are three cosmetic details that are minor, but want to point them out. There is a small streak on the top edge of the lower bout, where the OTM was smudged during painting/assembly and the underlying silver base coat is visible. It's not a scratch or a ding, just a spot missing some OTM. There is a small spot on the back of the headstock, at the low-E tuner, where the tinted nitro is missing.  The side of the neck pocket also has some minor paint cracks/chips.  These areas are shown in the photos.

There are no dings or buckle-rash. Dan typically relics his guitars, so I never gave the minor cosmetic issues a 2nd thought when I received the guitar back in February.  I tried my best to capture these in the photos.  I also took several photos to show how the OTM compares to dark green, blue, and surf green.  It's definitely my fave color on an offset and it changes hue in different lighting.

Naturally, I'm happy to answer questions and provide additional details and photos.  I will ship to buyers in the Continental US at their expense.  I think $60 should cover it. 

I buy way more equipment on Reverb than I sell, so accurate descriptions, photos, and communication are important to me. I have sold several offset guitars in the past year or so and those buyers were 100% satisfied with their purchases.
