This is one of KxK’s Sii-7 models from a few years back. KxK makes fantastic instruments, and they can be pretty hard to get ahold of - when I saw this one, I had to have it. The Sii-7 is certainly a Strat-inspired shape, coupling modern horns with aggressive contours. It has a super fast, satin-finished neck that is thin even by shred standards with a truly excellent heel carve for great upper fret access. When I bought it, it didn’t have pickups, so I put in a set of DiMarzio PAF 7s for a clean, cutting sound with a more vintage-inspired output. And all of this while saying nothing about the finish - it is a really unique sort of matte-finish metallic splatter paint job that is on the front and back of the body, and the front and back of the headstock. It also has the Dunlop Flush Mount Strap Lok system: although the buttons never came with it, they’re widely available. I was originally not sure about the body, but I've been informed by a previous owner that it's mahogany.
I will say that there’s a hairline crack in the fretboard from about the 10th to 21st fret - at one point I was looking at having it filled, but it has absolutely zero impact on playability and has not changed in the slightest over about 4 years (including a move between two very different climates) so I elected not to. Other than that, it’s in perfect condition, with no chips/cracks/dents or anything else.
It comes with the case I bought it with. I’m not sure if it’s the original, but it is a form-fit hardshell G&G so it might well be.
