* Ship will vary with proximity to Greenville SC, figure $35- $40 Southeast up to $80 West coast , Pickup always welcome ** Feel free to make an offer, but please don't insult me, and will communicate best I can if you have questions.
*Illness and age are forcing me to sell ,I hate to part with this. I'm an avid player and been playing only G&L's for close to 30 yrs, everything I own is tweaked to play .
** Lighting difference shows how different color can appear** First set more accurate
Serial # dates it to Approx 2002 ( larger trem arm also means prior to 2006)
USA G&L Custom Comanche with Gold hardware and matching headstock. Virtually zero wear. Plays beautifully ! 12" radius Neck is on slim side and close to feel of the early 90's , which IMOP was the best era for necks of G&L. Guitar is medium weight , approx 9lbs . Hard case incl. I have owned a # of guitars with Z coils and this has the best sounding ones IMOP, great output and virtually indistinguishable from G&L mfd's. The Trem arm is not gold, a basic hard shell case included. The back plate had a corner broken off by screw, glued, may break again. Although back plate is original , had to enlarge screw holes for better fit.
The G&L description
The G&L Comanche® is Leo’s final word on the traditional double-cutaway bolt-on axe. Fact is, the first thing you’ll notice about the Comanche is the distinctive shape of the Magnetic Field Design™ Z-Coil™ pickups designed by Leo Fender himself. These pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end while offering a robust bottom end, all without any 60-cycle hum.
You’ll find plenty of power in the Z-coil pickups, but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed they become as you roll back the volume and bass controls, the latter a part of the Comanche’s PTB™ (Passive Treble and Bass) system.
The Comanche was the very last double-cutaway bolt-on guitar designed by Leo Fender, the culmination of everything he had learned during his amazing lifetime.
