This beautiful electric/acoustic Alvarez Yairi CY127CE just came in to our store on consignment. Overall the guitar is in good to very good condition, but it does have a number of aesthetic issues
(see pictures)
that have caused us to list it at a lower price than other examples of this model.
Known issues:
- The top of the instrument shows considerable play wear, scratching, and a couple of dings. The most unusual amount of scratching is in an area that used to be covered by an "invisible" pickguard, part of which was removed at some point.
- There is a wooden strip extending from the center of the top at the butt end to the bridge that may be covering a repaired seam or is simply decorative.
- There are a few small dings in the neck and some scratching on the guitar's back.
- There are no strap knobs on the guitar at this time, and the original ones were not included when the instrument was consigned.
- There is a slight buzzing coming from the top that occasionally occurs during play, and unfortunately we have no way of telling what causes it.
The tuning gears seem to work well; new strings were put on, but the discerning guitarist will want to install his/her preferred brand.
The electronics are all original and work as they ought.
The guitar will be shipped in a ProTec gig bag and protectively boxed for shipping to the lower 48 states. As this is a consignment instrument, we are selling it as-described, so please be sure to look at all the pictures and contact us as needed for more information before purchasing. Thanks for looking!
