This is an early example of Japanese acoustic guitar making.

Seldom seen in this kind of condition, ie all original, playable and no issues - the only one we have seen in fact!

These have great mojo, a big body and tone to match.

Interesting and unusual styling with the diamond inlays and 'Guild' style headstock.

Even with the Angelica branding, which was later associated with the Matsumoku guitar facility, she was more likely to have been made by craftsman at FujiGen Gakki, who later went on to make guitars for Ibanez.

The design and structure is similar to early Ibanez branded guitars, and when I say early I mean late 50's to early 60's, hence pretty rare to see today!

We've seen quite a few pieces from this era, as Japanese specialists, however this is the only example seen that has a good neck, doesn't require a neck reset and is in generally great shape and very playable.

Condition wise, this thing is getting on for 60 years so there are weather checkings as expected and as pictured although no repairs, alterations or issues.

So we supply the guitar to you, as is, in original conditon, with no restoration or setup. (please enquire for any setup or service work)

Rare, early and interesting piece of Japanese guitar making history....
