The Godin DS-1 Daryl Stuermer Signature electric is a beautifully designed guitar loaded with great features and fine appointments. Designed in conjunction with Stuermer, lead guitarist for Phil Collins, the DS-1 is built for sound. Featuring a lightweight, resonant basswood body with flamed maple top and a stunning gloss finish, the DS-1 is ideal for the stage in tone and appearance. A pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers drive the sound, and a Godin Tru-Loc Tremolo System provides killer sustain and tone support. In addition, a mahogany neck with Richlite fingerboard offers incredible playability and response.

Humbucking heaven!

The Seymour Duncan Custom Custom SH-11p pickup in the bridge position delivers PAF-style tone with more kick, which is great for modern rock style. The ceramic magnet has been replaced with an Alnico II — the original magnet used in PAF pickups. The result is a softened bass with midrange boost and high-end punch. The Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2n in the neck position is driven by an Alnico V bar magnet that is legendary for its scooped mids, glassy treble, and tight low end. In combination with a 5-way pickup selector, this humbucking duo offers a massive array of tone-shaping possibilities.

Sustain for days!

The Tru-Loc Tremolo System on the DS-1 is a brilliantly designed system. The base plate and knife edge in this system are made from Rockwell 45 steel, an ultra-hard, ultra-durable steel that will not crush or lose its shape over time, keeping your tuning and sustain rock solid. A "comfort zone" setting on the back lets you set your tremolo arm so that it stays in the exact zone you prefer when not in use. And custom-made springs in the Tru-Loc system also provide perfect tension at all times.
