A masterburst '59 from Stephen is a guitar to behold. They don't come out very often and when they do, it's sure to be extraordinary.
This instrument it new, the photos you see are of the instrument itself. It has very recently been finished and ready for its first player.
Those that know Stephen's work understand that all Luthiers are not created the same and the demand for his instruments is significant. His attention to detail and more importantly the playability and tone are at the top of the market.
Hand picked Honduran Mahogany with Stephen's Signature neck profile hide glued to the one piece body.
The Top is also a one piece Michigan Silver Maple.
Carbon Fiber Reinforcements throughout the neck make it a very stable playing guitar throughout all playing environments.
Frets are Stainless Steel.
This guitar is hand carved, both the top, the body and the neck.
The Master Burst back is carved to ensure maximum access and a weight that is very pleasant to play over extended periods.
