Up for sale, a Headway TF-1000C cutaway acoustic electric guitar in near mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and paperwork. Since 1977, Headway has been crafting finely made acoustic guitars for the Japanese market, joining the ranks of Tokai, Greco, and Fernandes in the 80s for the wave of “lawsuit” iterations, and continuing their quest for quality to this day with a focus on handmade acoustics. This smaller bodied cutaway acoustic-electric TF-1000C features all-mahogany construction, with tortoise binding, abalone rosette and inlay, bone saddle and nut, and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. The guitar has a natural throaty projection, with enough low end to sound quite full, and a sweet, rich sounding midrange-forward response. Thanks to the bone nut and saddle, there is plenty of treble presence to stand out in a mix, and the guitar is fitted with a factory Shadow piezo pickup wired to the endpin jack so you can be heard in virtually any situation. This Headway weighs 4lbs 7oz and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 12-53 strings and comfortable action.

The mahogany neck has a slender rounded C shaped profile with good shoulder and minimal taper, measuring .815” deep at the 1st fret and .890” at the 9th. The leopard tortoise bound rosewood fretboard is a dark, tight-grained cut with abalone dot inlay and flawless stock medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays well up the straight neck with easy access to the upper registers thanks to the cutaway design. The scale length is 25 5/8", and the bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The bound headstock features an ornate floral inlay, gold Headway logo on the back, and stock set of gold tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

On the body, the rosewood bridge sits flush with the top, and the bone saddle has plenty of height for future adjustment. Accents include the abalone rosette, brown tortoise pickguard, and additional leopard tortoise top and back binding, extending to the heel cap. Cosmetically, barring a couple requisite faint scuffs at the treble side shoulder in the clear coat of the gloss, this guitar is clean as can be, with a pristine finish on the body and neck profile.

The original hardshell case and paperwork is included.
