1989 Kawai Rockoon KRB-90 Neckthrough PJ Bass - MIJ - Transparent Black
Up for sale, a 1989 Kawai Rockoon KRB-90 bass in great condition and perfect working order. This bass is previously used and exhibits light wear such as minor scratches and indentation - clean overall condition. Though Rockoon is not very well known, this is a high performance bass created by the skilled and uncompromising craftsmanship of Kawai. Essentially, these are the high end range from Kawai (in collaboration with Schaller) that were made in Japan in the 80's and 90's.
This is the 1989 model KRB-90, a high end bass aimed at competing with the neckthrough Yamaha and Aria Pro II models. Sen body with a five-ply MPL/MHGNY neck and a Phenol fretboard. Loaded with Schaller hardware and electronics (including PJ-X pickups, 3-D4 bridge and M4 tuners) give it all the professional quality you could need. Four knobs control volume, pickup balance (wired sadowsky style), and individual tone controls for each pickup with push/pull knobs. The bass has been professionally set up for smooth low action - feels great and plays well.
