"Introduced in 1964 the Club bass has for many years only been available in Sunburst,” Hofner explains. “All that is changed by this stunning Gold Label special version. Built using the original specifications of a fully hollow body, set in neck and cantilevered fingerboard this bass delivers that unique Hofner bottom end tone so famous since the 1960s. This is a lightweight bass, perfectly balanced and is excellent for long playing sessions without shoulder or back strain.”
Hofner’s Gold Label series gives the company a chance to make limited runs of special designs created by their master luthiers in Hagenau, Germany, and this will likely be one of the most unique Hofner Club basses you will ever see!
The German 500/2 is finished with a groovy paisley pattern that has a vintage vibe that perfectly matches the Hofner aesthetic.
It's a classic Hofner all the way with a 30" scale for a very slinky playing instrument, fully hollow body construction that delivers a feather-weight bass.
The bass is built with a flame maple body, three piece flame maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. It’s fitted with a pair of Hofner Cavern 510B pickups in a close spacing that adds extra bottom end.
