Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500RC SNS 12-fret, Slothead (Rare)

The rarest of the Masterbilt series--the twelve fret slothead.

-solid cedar top
-solid rosewood back and sides
-bone nut and saddle
-classic binding on body and headstock
-star fret inlays

I was lucky enough to pick this up at a local pawnshop in September of 2016. The moment I held it and gave it a strum I knew it was leaving with me. Very pleasant and warm sound, very loud, sustains for days. The soft V neck is the most comfortable acoustic neck I've felt. My more musically inclined buddy who plays in a couple bands tested it out that day and we marveled at how much it felt and sounded like a high end guitar that would cost three or four times as much.

I had it set up at Spruce Tree Music (Madison, WI) in December and they noticed a loose brace which was reglued, along with doing some minor fretwork and adjusting the neck. The bridges on these early Masterbilts are somewhat known for coming up but this one is very sturdy, possibly re-glued before it came into my possession.

There are very minor signs of wear, all of which were present when I bought it. I can try to get more detailed pictures of these uploaded when I have a chance.

Only reason I'm selling is because I'm really more of an electric player, and I've got my eye on a new one. Unfortunately I don't play enough to justify owning 4 guitars.

The guitar has been stored in its case with a humidifier for the entire time its been in my possession. Sale includes both. The humidifier is an Oasis brand which hangs from the strings. The case is a TKL brand which is cracked (shown in picture).
