Fender Competition Mustang Bass - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World! "Bass Battle" bass

Fender Competition Mustang Bass MIJ. This is a sweet bass with a cool story. This bass was used by Brandon Routh for the filming of the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World! "Bass Battle" scene. I purchased it from the assistant property master on the film who was in possession of the bass while filming and personally handed it to and collected it from Brandon during filming. 

I purchased the bass in 2019 from the crew member who quote, “This bass is the ACTUAL bass used by the Vegan Ex-Boyfriend in The Bass Battle in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World! when we bought it for the movie it was in excellent condition and then we deliberately made to look more used thus the knicks and scrapes. I have had it in my basement since we finished production on the movie.”

I looked into obtaining a certificate of authenticity, but this proved to be a more difficult task than I assumed. I will include a letter stating all of the known facts and am including additional items from the movie that the crew member also gave me to help prove it's authenticity. This includes, movie toque given to crew members and actors only, leather guitar strap also used in the scene, Clash at Demonhead prop CD, Clash at Demonhead prop T shirt, Sex bob-omb prop CD, "Lame Brand" amp emblem that was on the Sex Bob-Omb amps. 

The bass itself plays great and works as it should. I currently have it strung with flat wound's, but does have the original strings in the case. The included case was not used in filming, but was used on set to transport the bass to set. It does have a crack in the headstock that has been repaired. It goes from the tip to the first tuning peg hole (G string). This likely occurred at the end of the scene when Todd Ingram (Brandon) falls to the ground and lets go of the bass. I'm not sure if it's a 1994-1995 or a 2007-2010, MIJ T+6.
